We move New York like we live here.
Because we do. Cheap Moving NY was started by two cousins from Sunset Park who got tired of watching neighbors get burned by surprise fees and shady estimates.
Great service, every move.
One truck, two guys, and a promise: the number we quote is the number you pay. 22 years later we've moved 4,000+ families and 250+ businesses across the five boroughs, Long Island, and upstate.
We're still family-run. We still answer the phone ourselves. And we still believe a fair move shouldn't cost a month's rent.
For over 22 years, we’ve focused on what we do best — providing reliable, stress‑free moving services for New Yorkers. In that time, we’ve helped thousands of customers, learned the unique challenges of moving in NYC, and discovered the key to a smooth moving day: treating people with kindness. A friendly, respectful team takes the stress out of moving and makes the entire experience easier.
With that philosophy, we built our moving company around transparency and professionalism. Every customer receives a clear, upfront moving quote and a crew of trained, courteous movers. By combining honest pricing with a team‑first culture, we created a moving service where customer satisfaction is always the top priority.
We also chose to go beyond traditional moving companies. Our mission includes making moving more sustainable by reducing waste, supporting local communities.
A fully insured and licensed professional moving company — DOT #36403. True to our name, we're committed to delivering affordable moving services to those who need them most: budget-conscious movers, people with smaller loads, and anyone who doesn't want to overpay the big-name companies for basic moving services.
We built this company for singles, students, and small families — people with enough belongings to make moving a challenge, but not enough to justify a massive crew. Whatever your moving needs, we've got you covered. Leave the heavy lifting to us and we'll handle the hard part, saving you time and stress.
We proudly serve the entire New York Tri-State Area, including Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, and Long Island with reliable residential moving services.
Three rules. No exceptions.
The quote is the price.
Binding flat-rate quotes. If we missed something in the estimate, that's on us — not your wallet.
Movers, not handlers.
Our crews are highly trained and experienced movers who handle every item with the care and precision it deserves — from bulky furniture to fragile items.
Show up. On time.
If we're more than 30 minutes late to the 2-hour arrival window, the first hour of labor is free.
